Evil Toilet

So, I must not have very good luck with "technology". While on our vacation to California in August, I lost my new 30 GB ipod. I was running across the street with my backpack on and when we got down to the beach I noticed my ipod was not in the backpack, where I had put it. So I thought "I must not have put the ipod in the backpack, it's probably in the car." So, after a long day at the beach we got up to the car and to my disappointment, no ipod. We searched and searched (well, Steven did :o) and...nothing.
So then today I was getting ready for school and I had my phone and the bathroom counter because Steven usually calls when I'm getting ready in the morning so I had it there ready for his call. Anyway, I moved some of my hair products and heard a "plop!" and it was one of those times where I knew what had happened but was just praying that when I looked in the toilet, my phone would NOT be there. However, it was, just sitting there at the bottom of the bowl.
It was clean water...so I reached in, grabbed it out and immediately started drying it but, once again to my disappointment, the phone would not turn on. It would just vibrate, whether the phone was on or off. AND I had only had this brand new phone for about...2 weeks.
So, on my way to the alltel store today I thought I'd try turning it on again, just for kicks and it worked! The screen is a little dark but thank goodness it works!

Things We're Looking Forward To!

Well, we figured we'd never been to the Arizona State Fair so we decided we'll go this year! I'm really excited. I don't know about Steven. I don't think he likes roller coasters or rides...I do so he can stand and watch! :o)
On November 17th we're going to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra Concert which I am sooo excited for! My mom took me for my 17th birthday and it was an amazing concert. I definitely recommend it. There's about 12 of us going (family, friends) so it'll be fun.
Then, the next week we'll be flying to Utah to spend Thanksgiving with my sister, Amy who lives in South Jordan. Last year we DROVE Thanksgiving night to spend a few days with her. We're going to attempt to cook Thanksgiving dinner. Then we'll probably go to the Salt Lake temple and look at lights and do all the fun Utah stuff!
So, those are just a few things we're looking forward to. We'll be sure to post pictures!

It's a Good Life

I've been wanting to update our blog but haven't really had anything new or exciting happen or any new pictures but I'll write anyway.
Yes, we're still just working and going to school. Steven works about 10-11 hours everyday in addition to going to school 3 days a week. I don't know how he does it sometimes. He still works for UOP and although it may not be the best job, it works for us right now!
I'm just practicing the piano and studying music like crazy. It's a ton of work but I love it. Sometimes school doesn't even feel like school, which is a good thing. It just gives me an opportunity to go and do what I love. My favorite class right now it my chamber piano class. All we do it practice a duet with someone in our class for a few weeks and then perform for whoever wants to come listen. It's fun :o)
Steven and I have been married for over 8 months now! It feels like just yesterday we got married...We're still having fun and can't wait to see each other at the end of each day. :o)
Anyway, like I said, I didn't really have anything to write about--Just wanted to keep everyone up to date!

Time to Update!

I kind of felt like a hypocrite after looking at everyone else's blogs, noticing how no one was updating theirs and then realized it was time to update ours as well!
Not a whole lot has happened in the past couple weeks. Mainly just school and work. Last Friday (the 14th) we got to go stay in the J.W. Marriott up in North Scottsdale because Steven's work sent all their "top performers" there for the night. It was a very nice resort and free so we couldn't complain. We went out to dinner with a few friends who were there as well and then just relaxed the rest of Friday and Saturday morning.
Saturday afternoon we met up with Steven's family who were in Mesa and although it was just a quick lunch, it was good to see everyone, especially Alli (who now lives in Holbrook!). After that we left to go down to Tucson to celebrate Travis's birthday dinner at Claim Jumper. It was a surprise dinner which made it all the more fun and there were about 15 people there! He was definitely surprised. Everyone left from dinner but Steven and I followed Brooke and Travis home to spend the night with them in Sahuarita. We spent all of Sunday with them and the dogs of course :o) It's so fun being able to spend time wit family. We love every minute of it and are always looking for opportunities to do so.
So besides that we've just been busy, like I said, with school and work. Steven was given the opportunity to do some landscaping for a lady and so that has been giving him some experience and hopefully we'll have more of those! We're definitely enjoying the "cooler" weather and LOVING the fall weather. Our little apartment is full of autumn decorations and smells like pumpkin pie! Anyway, I'll try to write again sometime and post some pictures. We've been falling short on taking them...

Steven...

I just wanted to take a quick moment and publicly express how thankful I am to have such a great husband! I couldn't ask for a better man in my life. Steven's always so great when it comes to doing anything around the house. When he calls me from work and asks what I'm doing, if I say cleaning, he says "No, you have to wait until I get home so I can help you". He's very thoughtful and considerate. And with school and everything starting up and our schedules changing, he still takes the time to help me and be there for me. We've already been married for almost 8 months! Time flies when you're having fun. And we do have lots of fun! We love life together!

Finding Neverland!

If you're wondering why we have instrumental music on our blogpage :o) it's because I finally bought the movie Finding Neverland the other day and remembered how beautiful the music is on that movie! I love it. It's definitely a great movie for the family. Very uplifting and...just good all around! And then Claire De Lune is probably my all-time favorite classical piece to play on the piano. So it's in second...:o)

Diamondbacks Game!

Another win for the Diamondbacks and we got to be there(I think it was Tuesday...the 4th)! A couple hours before the game started on Tuesday, Steven's cousin, Brandon Hancock called and invited us to go to the Diamondbacks/Padres game. The seats were great! Besides the fact that I was paranoid about a fly ball hitting us! We left a little bit early so I don't know the end score but it was 6-1 when we left! We spent our life savings eating there at the park and were exhausted by the time we got home! Anyway, it was a fun little outing for us and it was great to meet Brandon and his "friend" :o) Here are a few pictures.

Here's someone stealing...
