Running Anyone?

I promise Steven does do things with me, he's just usually too tired after work to do anything, like running. So...if anyone wants to go running, I'd love to have someone join me. I run Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday at pretty much whatever time. I prefer before the sun comes up because it's too hot. On Tuesday and Friday I go to Pure Fitness and do a workout there so just let me know!

Nothing too exciting...

Like I've said before, I get tired of other people not updating their blog and then realize it's been a while since I've updated mine but I don't really have anything to post about!
Steven and I are both working and well, that's pretty much it. Our afternoons/evenings are pretty uneventful. Almost every night we eat dinner then lay down and watch a movie. We've started our half-marathon training and it's pretty tough but fun. Now I know why everyone trains for the PF Chang's marathon--it's too HOT to train right now! Even at 7:00 in the morning I feel like I'm in dry sauna.
Anyway, for Father's Day we went out to Steven's parent's house in Buckeye and I got to make Fenn tacos for the Carbonneau's! They turned out great.
Other than that we've just been hanging out. Last Saturday we were able to go to the temple with our friends Meagan and Roy--Meagan was getting her endowments. Afterwards we all went and ate at Mi Amigos and then Meagan and I sat and talked while Roy and Steven moved stuff into their new apartment. They're getting married on Saturday and we're so excited because they'll be in our apartments and thus, in our ward too! They're so much fun to hang out with. We also got to be there when they took their wedding pictures! They looked so good and we're so excited for them!
Well, that's our update! We'll be going down to Benson for the 4th so I'll probably just post after that! Hope everyone is enjoying their summer!

Rocky Point!

I'm SO excited to go to Rocky Point again. Last time was fun but a little stressful because of the triathlon. Soo...we decided to go back, NOT stay at the RV park and enjoy the luxury of a condo. We just booked our condo and it looks so much fun! It'll just be Steven and I which I'm definitely looking forward to--time together before school starts up and everything's crazy again. :o) Anyway here's our cute little condo!
The best part of all! The beautiful ocean view! And the amazing pools. I think they have eleven just at this condo, a lazy river, swim up snack bar and much more. This is actually where our triathlon was. We finished right down there on the beach!

Temple Anyone?

Okay, I don't mind going to the temple alone when Steven's at work but every once in a while it'd be nice to have someone to go with so if anyone wants to go Tuesdays or Wednesday mornings, I'd love to have someone come with me! I don't work these days and I get very bored at home! Anyway, let me know!

Dress Up Date Night

On Tuesday night Steven and I were kind of bored here at home so we decided to go to the mall and play "dress-up". We picked out, okay so I picked out clothes for Steven to wear and he had to try them on, no questions asked. Guy clothes are really boring and pretty much all the same. I started to pick out this one outfit and Steven was saying, "no" and I kept laughing because I knew it'd look hilarious. The shorts were really short and I made him tuck in his shirt--surprisingly though, he looked good! The other things I picked out were too big but he still pulled it off. The last thing I had him try on was a linen-type suit. I always see guys like Brad Pitt and George Clooney wear them and I've always wanted to see Steven wear one. He was a bit reluctant at first but once he got it on, he really liked it. They didn't have his size but he still looked SO good. I couldn't believe it when he walked out of the dressing room :o) Anyway, here are some pictures. By the time we got to clothes for me, we were tired so I just tried on a few dresses and that was it. They were really pretty and elegant but none that I could actually wear because they weren't exactly the most modest! Darn dresses--it's so hard to find cute, modest ones but thank goodness I never have to go to prom again, right?
Who wears short shorts?! Steven wears short shorts :o)
This outfit could have used a bit of work but Steven didn't want to cooperate :o)

I'm Officially a Fenn

Clarice is down from Idaho and when I asked her what she wanted for dinner last night she said Fenn tacos...However, I had never made them before but decided it was time to learn. So, with the help of Clarice and my mom, I mad Fenn tacos! And they were delicious. They tasted just like my mom's and everyone loved them. Needless to say, I was pretty proud of myself! :o) Now I can help my mom when I'm in Benson!Taco MeatFrying the tacos
Some of the finished product!

HOBY 2008

Some of you may already know but every year I volunteer at a leadership camp called HOBY (Hugh O'Brian Youth leadership). I attended at the end of my sophomore year and now go back every year as part of the staff. It is by far one of the hardest but funnest things I do once a year. This year we started at noon on Wednesday and got done at 3:30 on Sunday. It consists of about 2-3 hours of sleep a night and 150 sophomores from around the state. This year I was able to be a junior facilitator (I have to be 21 to be an actual facilitator) and it was by far the best year. We had SOOO much fun and I absolutely LOVE the other "jcrew" as we called it. I've been with this group for 4-5 years now and consider them all my closest friends. We had tons of crazy fun having almost no sleep and going to IHOP at 2:00 in the morning. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard around a group of people for 5 days straight.
This year's seminar was so much fun and consisted of listening to a lot of leaders from sports, entertainment, education, government and motivational speakers as well. The ambassadors (students) were able to go to the House of Representatives and go through the process of passing a bill, we did a service project at St. Vicent de Paul, pool part, dance, talent show, and much much more.
HOBY is such a great organization and I'm so happy to be able to be a part of it each year. It is definitely a life-changing experience for the ambassadors and staff as well! Here are some pictures!

Mackenzie's Baby Blessing and Friends

We had a busy weekend but it was fun--we were able to spend a lot of time with friends and family and best of all, each other! (Travis and Jackie, you can think of Ms. McClellan and say "each other") Friday night we just hung out at home and then went grocery shopping. I'm huge on sales and making sure we get the best deal so we ended up going to 4 grocery stores, loaded up for the whole week for $50. I love finding good deals. At Safeway our first bill rang up to like$46 and then I had some coupons and it took it down to $19.
Anyway, on Saturday we drove out to Buckeye and met up with Steven's younger brother Derek at the Buckeye pool and the boys went swimming for a while but I drove back to Steven's parents. Chris and Kati's boys were there because they were gone for their anniversary so I had fun being entertained by them for a while! Later that evening we met up with some of Steven's friends from high school and had a barbecue and went swimming (sat in the jacuzzi was more like it). It was fun to see Steven with his "guy" friends and great to get out with other people.
Sunday morning we woke up, got ready for church and drove out to Surprise for Mackenzie's baby blessing. Her blessing dress was so stinkin' cute. I held it up to me and it went down to my knees--but it was so cute and girly. After the blessing we had a luncheon and then all of us kids went back to Josh and Trisha's and hung out. Amy was the only one missing because she lives in Utah so we'll excuse her! :o) Love you Amers!
I love being with my family. We have so much fun together and we all get along great! Here are some pictures from the weekend.Mackenzie's hair cracks me up.
Jeremy drove his work truck down from Bagdad and everyone thought it was "so cool". He even entertained the kids and put the crane up. All of the neighbors were probably wondering what we were doing :o)
