Dance Dance Revolution

I talked Steven into letting me get Dance Dance Revolution for the ps2 his parents gave us. He refuses to try it but I'm having lots of fun with it! They even have a work-out mode that tracks your calories burned but I doubt it's that accurate. After 15 minutes it said I had jogged almost two miles but I don't know how I could have jogged by stepping left and right and forwards...then backwards. I was pretty much staying in the same spot it seemed like... :o) Who knows how they track it. Anyway! I've been having lots of fun with it so now I just need to convince Steven to play with me!

We Got Tagged

Okay, Alli tagged us so now we get to do 7 random things about us...I can never think of these things on the spot but I'll give it a whirl.

1. Meghan hates any type of seafood while Steven could eat any type of seafood
2. Steven likes to fill up a water cup, drink about 1/3 of it and then leave it. He's notorious for this.
3. Meghan hates brushing her teeth at night because Steven always does it first and starts to fall asleep while she is brushing hers. So she tries to beat him to it and get in bed first.
4. We've been on a salad kick lately and we seem to have a salad with just about every meal. We'll even eat it for a snack
5. We want to teach abroad when we're finished with school
6. We have separate closets and hampers and both do our laundry separate...it would seem we'd do it together since we're married but, I don't know. It's really weird.
7. If we could, we'd eat at La Parilla Suiza every night and get a bean burrito with green sauce and eat their fabulous chips and salsa...we're becoming familiar faces around the place now.

Anyway, I think I'm supposed to tag someone now so I'll do:

Amy
Amber and Brennon
Brooke and Travis
Josh and Trish
Dustin and Chelsea
Bret and Becki

Have fun!

Our Date Night

So Steven and I will go out a lot but have kind of forgotten what it's like to go on a "real" date. So last night we decided it was time. We wanted to go somewhere we hadn't gone before so we threw around a ton of ideas, didn't like any so finally decided to just go drive around and look for somewhere to eat. We drove for about...40 minutes and finally decided on BJ's up by where Josh and Trish used to live. Surprisingly we only had to wait for about 5 minutes. We ordered an AMAZING deep dish pizza (if you haven't been there, go) and a pazookie.
I just have to say that it was one of the funnest nights I've had out with Steven. So we didn't do anything too different but we laughed and talked the whole time and I had a huge smile on my face the entire time. It was just another one of those times where I was reminded of why I fell in love with him and just how much I do love him (not like I had forgotten!) Thanks Steven, for a great night out!

Blog Book

So I was just telling Steven the other day that it would be neat to be able to make our blog into a book because it's almost like a journal and I'm not the best at journal writing (but I love to blog!) and so today I was checking out my sister-in-law Kati's new blog and of course I like to go "blog hopping" from there and i saw one of her friends was planning on doing this and there's actually a website that does it for you!!! I was so excited to see this. I'm definitely going to do one now. I already did a photo book as you all know but that only has pictures and some words somewhere would be nice. Thanks to Kati's friend for that information!! For anyone else who would like it, here's the website:

Just An Update On Us

Nothing too exciting has happened to us lately but I just thought I'd keep everyone up to date on what we're doing! Yesterday we went out to Steven's parents for his mom's birthday. All of the family was there and we went to the park and barbecued and just hung out. It was a fun afternoon and evening. We always enjoy any chance we get to spend time with family.
Other than that we've just been sooooo busy!! These past couple of weeks have kicked our butts. We feel like we have zero time any more and have just kind of accepted that this is the way it's going to be until we're done with school! I started a new "job" if you can call it that. I'm accompanying for the vocal students at MCC. It's been a bit stressful learning the music and having to do it in less than a week but it pays well and I don't have to work very many hours (10) or travel. And I get to do what I love. I've always loved accompanying. It gives me the opportunity to play for someone but not be in the spotlight completely. I'm also taking an accompanying class so that's helping. School is going well though. I love to learn and grow and honestly, I don't want to ever stop going to school. I DO want to finish my degree so once i'm done with that, school might actually be fun! :o)
Enough about me! Steven's been going, going, going. Sometimes I don't know how he survives. His work gives him 10 hours of OT a week so he likes to take advantage of that but it makes for long, 11-12 hour days. I'm always so excited when he gets home but it's hard because he's dead. He just finished a class at UOP today but he still has the one at MCC that we're taking together. I know he doesn't give himself enough credit but he does A LOT. He's so good with helping me around the house and always trying to ease my load/stress a little bit. Sometime it's hard being married and having to go to school at the same time but then again, I don't know how I'd survive without someone to talk to (more like complain to :o) and support me.
Our triathlon training is going well. Sometimes it's hard to go to the gym but we always feel better afterwards. The other day I ran 3 miles and then did my 500 yards swimming. It's a start I guess. We'll see how it goes!
Anyway, that's our update for now. Like I said, not a whole lot of new stuff but I have fun posting so I'm sure there'll be many more to come!
