Ready or Not....

Here I come! I start school tomorrow!! I'm excited and a little nervous because I don't know what to expect. I'm finally really "in" my program and it's great but also a little crazy. I'll have 5 classes and my lab for my anatomy class. I'm SO glad I get to go to the ASU east campus and not the main. It's a little bit further drive but a lot less crowded. Anyway, we can kiss good-bye all the free time we have right now but it'll be worth it in the end. Here's my stack of books that I'll need in one day (all my classes are in one day, thank goodness) Wish me luck!!

Camping and LOTS of Pictures!!

On Friday morning Steven and I got up early to go to the temple before we went camping. It was my first time driving in 3 ½ months! I was so giddy and excited but…it wasn’t anything TOO exciting but now I have some of my freedom back!! :o) I’m still technically not legal but oh well. The doctor cleared me but they have to mail the form in to the DMV and then it has to be reviewed by them, etc BUT I start school tomorrow and I have to drive!

Anyway, we just got back from camping a few hours ago and I knew if I didn’t just blog about it now, with school starting and my work schedule changing, who knows when I’d get around to it.

We went with Steven’s family (minus Derek) and his grandparents camping up in Williams. The weather was great and it was such a fun trip! We had a horseshoe tournament and Steven won—woo hoo! He got a lovely, HUGE trophy out of it. I kept trying to get him to LOSE so we wouldn’t have to tote it home but he was just too lucky, I mean too good and he won J We also just relaxed, ate lots of yummy food, shot guns (I actually hit a clay target this time! Only one but still…it’s an improvement from last year! Alli and I decided we’d try and get 2 next year), played with the cute kids, talked and then did a little geocaching today! All in all it was a great trip and on the way home I told Steven we definitely could have used one more day up there!

Nathan--I don't know why he was frowning. Probably because I didn't give him a cookie or something :)
Friday night we did a FHE and Grandma Bochat shared with us the story of how she and Grandpa met and then showed us some pictures!

I think this may have been the championship game...not sure though since Steven played his dad and Grandpa Bochat's standing there.

My hand is out because I was dangling some keys trying to get Macy to look at the camera

He's so handsome :)

Love him!

We found it!

I thought this was the video of me actually shooting the clay target but I remembered afterwards that on that one I got really excited because after 15 tries I finally got it...not so much in this one :)

Benson

I love, love, love going to Benson. I think Steven does too because my mom cooks him good food and it's just our time to relax! Last weekend we went down because I don't know how often we'll get down once school starts up with homework and all. Anyway, it was our good friend Alliene's birthday so Steven dropped me off at her birthday party as soon as we got in on Friday night. She's such a great person and she's practically like family even though she's my aunt's sister. It was a fun party!
On Saturday Steven and I got up bright and early to go play tennis at the high school and then my brother Travis gave us a tour of all the construction that's going on there--crazy! On our way home we stopped at the candy shop and got some delicious fudge! The rest of the day was spent lounging about, playing with the cutest baby ever (Carson), swimming in the pool and then we went over to the women's softball championship game at the park.

I love going home and love small-towns. It's always hard to come back to the city...:p

He's always so smiley and happy first thing in the mornings! This is what I saw when I came in the kitchen after I woke up.
Just a cute picture of Carson sitting in the back of Uncle Jeremy's truck while watching the softball game

This is just a super-short clip but the only one I could get of Carson doing his "scrunch-face". You can hardly even tell he's doing it but it's still so cute!

Fun Life!

I love being married--I love always having someone to do EVERYTHING with. Steven and I have so much fun together and have been fortunate enough to be able to do quite a bit together. A few weekends ago we got up bright and early and went to help out at the temple planting and pruning flowers. It was our stake's turn and it was HOT but we had a good time. After that we changed into out swim suits and headed off for our annual float down the salt river! I love doing this--it's so relaxing and the water always feels great. We only took 2 pictures before we left because we didn’t want to take the camera with us. We have in the past but I’m always paranoid it’s going to get wet or lost or something like that. So here are our two pictures before!

Last weekend we had another “chill” day. We played tennis for a while, relaxed and then decided to go for a drive and take pictures. We weren’t sure what we were going to do but somewhere along our drive we decided to take pictures of letters on signs that would spell our last name. It was a lot of fun trying to find good letters. Here’s what we got—see if you can figure out where they’re from. Some are really easy. I think the only one you won’t be able to guess is the green “N” because it’s just from a random neon “OPEN” sign.

Flagstaff

On the 25th we got to leave Phoenix and head up to Flagstaff for Steven's grandpa's 80th birthday party. The weather was beautiful and everything was great--the food, the company, all of it! We always say how nice it would be to live up in Flagstaff but then I remember how GORGEOUS our winters are here...nothing beats a winter in the Phoenix area. On our way home we also got to stop and see my best friend from high school, Race. He lives up there and it was fun to see him! Anyway, here are a few pics of the family!

Steven's An Old Man!!!

Steven turns 25 today---so old :) We celebrated his birthday last night since we couldn't do much today. I wanted to do something fun and different for his 25th birthday but our apartment is too small to have a big group inside and it's hot outside this time of year! We decided we'd just tough it out and have an outdoor party, then last minute changed it to the Beagley's pool and then had to move it inside their house last minute because of wind! All in all we had LOTS of fun. We barbecued some hamburgers, played ultimate frisbee, ate cake, went swimming and then just hung out. Most of the people left around 9:30 but a group of us ended up staying at the Beagley's house until midnight just laughing and talking. Aubri and Marissa (Beagley's daughters) went and got everyone milkshakes/soda at QT around 10:30 or 11:00. I can't remember. Anyway, it was a fun night and I know Steven really appreciated all those who drove far to support him (and those who didn't have to drive so far as well!!)
Anyway, on our way home last night I told Steven "wow, you're old". I also said I didn't want to get old but it's bound to happen right?!
Today we're just relaxing and enjoying not having anything going on. Steven got his birthday breakfast which was biscuits and gravy and then he requested grilled shrimp and green beans (although he had to cook the shrimp!).
I'm not going to post a whole bunch of lovey-dovey stuff about Steven but I do want him to know I love him and I'm happy to be his wife. I'm happy that I get to be the one to spend his birthdays with him. Love you Steven!!!

Steven's mom, Kathy came out on Friday and provided me with some moral support for decorating my first cake. It was fun but a lot of work. Steven's been begging me for two years to have a Lightning McQueen cake. We also had Cars plates and napkins. Funny boy :)

My brother Travis and his son Carson

Had to get a picture! Carson was such a good boy the whole night but eventually got tired out. We all did :)
