After recovering from the weekend, Steven and I were able to go to the Diamondbacks game with Steven's friend and old roommate, Roy and his wife, Ali. They're an awesome couple who got married the day Steven and I got engaged. They both went through the temple on the same day that Alli went through and they have now invited us to go to their sealing in a few weeks! We feel honored that they would invite us to such a special occasion and look forward to being there.

As tradition has it, we went to Benson for Memorial Day to spend the weekend with family and friends. All of my family was there except for my older sister, Amy, whom we missed very much! We spent Friday and Saturday getting ready for my mom's birthday party which was going to be Saturday evening. I did something I had never done before and made a german chocolate cake. It didn't look the best but it tasted great. However, I don't think I will be making another one for some time, seeing that it took a few hours to make.
There were many laughs and fun times throughout the weekend. Travis and Brooke brought their new dog Lucy down and she kept everyone entertained, especially Braden.
Sunday afternoon we were all sitting around, being somewhat bored when my sister-in-law Trisha, suggested we go to the cemetary. For some odd reason, we all seemed to jump at the idea, so we loaded up into Travis's truck and headed on down to the cemetary. As we walked around, my dad told us different stories about different family members, since a large part of the Fenn family is buried there. It was so neat to hear about my ancestors and their rich heritage.
Here is the headstone of my great-grandparents who were among the first to come to Pomerene and settle it.
