Well, it's about time we updated this blog! A lot has been going on since we last posted. A couple weekends ago, Steven and I were able to go volunteer at the "Ride and Stride" for Muscular Dystrophy. It was a beautiful all day Friday and then when we woke up Saturday morning at 5:00 a.m. it was cold and rainy! Needless to say it was freezing and a bit miserable but fun to help with. We sat at a water station and watched the runners and those in wheel chairs go by. They raised about $95,000 at that event!

Since then we've just been working and getting ready to start back to school! Steven starts back May 22nd and I will be going to MCC in the fall to begin my degree in Exercise and Wellness. I'll transfer to ASU in about a year if all goes according to plans! Steven is planning on majoring in Business Finance and then owning his own business, possibly in landscaping!
On Tuesday, May 1st, Steven got a call from one of his uncles, asking him if he'd go to Rocky Point, Mexico that weekend to participate in a triathlon since one of their relay partners couldn't make it. So, after some quick thinking and planning, we headed down to Rocky Point on Friday. The weather was gorgeous and so was the water! Saturday morning we woke up bright and early and headed over to the resort where the triathlon would take place. Steven did the swimming portion while his two uncles did the biking and the running portions. They finished 5th out of the 23 relay teams!

The rest of the weekend was spent laying on the beach, swimming, riding 4-wheelers, walking up and down through the shops and eating Mexican food!
During our long wait at the border, we were able to buy some very fresh tortillas which you can't get anywhere but Mexico! They were delicious. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend. If you haven't been to Rocky Point, I definitely recommend it!
So now it's back to the grind at work and life. We're still loving marriage and enjoying this new and wonderful opportunity. Hope all is well with everyone else!
