This past Saturday we were able to go see The Lion King at Gammage--it was AMAZING!! My mom came up with Janice Stewart (good family friend) and we went to dinner before and then headed over. We had so much fun together and had great seats too! We were in the orchestra seating but in the very back. During the opening scene we heard someone singing right behind us and just assumed it was the guy behind us joining in and singing and then all of a sudden there's a huge rhinoceros (not real but still very big) walking down the aisle by us (we had aisle seats). It kind of startled us as first and this happened a few times during the performance.
Everything was so incredible though--I'd go see it again in a heartbeat. Just the way the costumes were done and how graceful everyone is, it's so good! I was a little worried that Steven wouldn't like it because he's not really into that kind of stuff but after the first scene was over he leaned over to me and said, "I'm satisfied." :)
Anyway, go see it if you get a chance. It's definitely worth the money!

hmmm...the I'm satisfied wasn't an, Okay let's go now comment? lol Chris really felt bad when he found out Steven was missing the Cardinals game. I know Chris teases he wouldn't like that stuff...BUT if it makes me happy, I am sure he would. As I am sure Steven enjoyed watching you have fun too! I hear the costumes are the MOST AMAZING in this performance!
No, surprisingly he liked it! I don't see how anyone could NOT like it! It's fun. Your boys would love it too.
I saw Lion King about a year and a half ago....very amazing!! I'm glad you enjoyed it, I loved it too!
Someone else recently told me that it was pretty amazing too.
I guess we will have to try and check it out!!
