Thankful #4

4. I'm thankful for this great country that we have to live in. As nervous as I am for the results of this election, I'm grateful that we at least have an opinion and can voice it. I love that we can worship freely and that I feel somewhat safe doing it. I'm thankful to the men and women who serve in the armed forces and who are dedicated to this country, who are courageous and brave.

I get goosebumps every time I hear our country's national anthem and during the Olympics I was always so proud when one of our athletes took a gold medal (or any medal really) and they would play it and raise the flag.

Despite everything that goes on here in our country, our failing and corrupt government, the unfair justice system, it could be a lot worse. We have it pretty good here and the United States truly is a chosen land.

I'd have to say DITO to all of that!!
Sometimes I even get tearry when I hear the National Anthem, or when something military, or public safety is happening. I'm a sap, but I do feel very grateful for our freedoms and those who courageously protect them!!

Amen! I have always got "tingly" during patriotic songs. Land of the free, home of the brave!
