21!!

I can't believe I turned 21 yesterday. I know that's young to a lot of people but it's just so weird for me. I really do feel older already! Unfortunately I had to work so we weren't able to do much but after work Steven took me out to BJ's and then we went on a Gondola ride they have at the Hyatt Regency in Scottsdale. It was romantic and peaceful and great. Anyway, since I'm incredibly bored today, here are 21 things you may or may not know about me!

1. I don't like to get flowers for my birthday/anniversary/valentine's day, etc. Steven will still do it for me even though he knows where I stand. I think they're pointless. If you're going to spend money on me, buy me something I can keep. Don't get me wrong, flowers are pretty but I'd rather just buy them myself if I want them.

2. I never order anything but water with lemon when I go to a restaurant. It's healthier and cheaper and tastes better!

3. Taking my blood pressure makes me very woozy. I hate it.

4. I've changed my major to Exercise and Wellness and will start as ASU next fall and finish in 2 years! I'm very excited about it and think I've finally found what I want to do.

5. I hate running. I've tried it here and there to see if I could do it but it's so boring to me and yeah, I just don't like it.

6. I love to cook for people and have people over. If I could I'd do a big themed dinner party for every holiday or just whenever!

7. After reading These is My Words I wish I had lived back when times were so simple, even if it was harder or more dangerous. I love to think of how life would be without computers, iPods, television, cell phones, etc.

8. I've never had a broken bone

9. I HATE to open gifts in front of people. I'm not good with the whole "Oh! I love it!" reaction, even if I do really like it. For some reason I still think I come across as hating it.

10. My favorite flower is a tulip

11. I will not drink water from the tap if I am anywhere in the valley. I will dehydrate before I do so. I have to have filtered water. Call me crazy and picky but it's disgusting.

12. I don't really like to have the blinds open when I'm at home. I prefer my lighting to be artificial unless I can have all the doors and windows open at the same time. I guess I'm not what some people would consider "green."

13. I like to sleep with one leg under the covers and one leg out. It's the perfect combo. And I always sleep with my arms bent against me if that makes sense (like I'm doing bicep curls or something) I always have sore arms when I wake up from them being cramped up all night.

14. I hate blowing my nose in a tissue because I don't like the way it smells. If I can I prefer to just blow my nose with my hands over a sink and wash my hands. Okay, so maybe I do help the environment by cutting back on tissues. Some people think it's disgusting but I don't :). Note: I don't do this in public, only when I'm at home.

15. If I'm driving by myself I prefer to have the radio off. It's nice just to have quiet and to think.

16. I learned how to change a tire in the dark. In YWs once we had to do it and the guy teaching us decided that would be the best way for a girl to learn to do it in case she was ever driving somewhere at night and got a flat tire. Smart man. Fortunately I've never had to do it (knock on wood)

17. I'm kind of obsessed with my vita-mix. I want to make everything in it now (and you just about can! :).

18. One of my favorite things to do is to set my alarm on a day that I know I can sleep in just so I can turn it off and go back to sleep since that's what I wish I could do every other morning!

19. I like watching high school football better than college or professional football

20. Fall is my absolute favorite time of year

21. I have the most amazing husband in the world :)
