Polar Express and Holbrook

On the 12th Steven and I left to go up to Williams for the Polar Express. I was SO excited. Everything just made me feel like I was a kid again! There were lots of people and everyone was in their pajamas and bathrobes. There were some old ladies there with their pjs and robes. It was cute. We had lots of fun. The wind was blowing really hard so it was FREEZING but the train was plenty warm. We drank hot chocolate, ate cookies, sang Christmas carols, listened to the reading of the Polar Express and got our bell from Santa! He went past us at first on the train but turned around and asked me if the bell still rang for me. I kept saying "it does, it does!" Just give me my stinkin' bell :). Anyway, loads of fun. Definitely recommend it.
Waiting for the train

We stayed the night in Flagstaff and then went to Holbrook the next day to visit Alli and Kyle. We had lots of fun with them. They showed us all around Holbrook. We saw lots of petrified wood, ate Mr. G's pizza, made Navajo tacos, went to the ward Christmas party, and just drove around and then played the Wii. We saw Steven's grandpa's grave too. It was fun visiting Alli and Kyle and the next time we're up there will be when Alli has her baby!Petrified wood--made us laugh. I'm assuming this is how they found it.

How fun!! I really wanted to take the girls to Polar Express, but didn't get tickets early enough. We'll definitely have to take them next year!!

I'm so glad you liked the Polar Express, because we love it!! I was bummed that we didn't go this year but after 3 years, we decided to take a break! You need to take your mom next time!
