We Tried

Just about every Friday or Saturday night we try to decide on something to do that'll keep us busy and get us out of the apartment but we're not always successful because things either cost too much money or well, there's just nothing to do. So, while I was sitting at work (I got a job!) I decided to look at events at Tempe Town Lake and saw that they do a movie in the park every Friday night. It's mainly for families but we thought it'd be fun to do. So, we packed up a picnic dinner, got our blankets and pillows and headed over to the park. There were quite a few families there and it was nice to see parents actually out with their kids doing family activities. Anyway, we got our blanket all set up and started to eat--we had to wait about 25 minutes for it to get dark enough to see the movie on the screen they had blown up. So, we're sitting there talking and everything when the screen just collapses and the sound goes out...long story short, they didn't have enough power and it was canceled. We were bummed. They kept trying to blow it back up and it'd get close and then just fall back down. So we ended up renting a movie and coming home! Maybe next time...Here are some pictures--we had a little photo shoot of different faces while we were waiting for the movie to start!
